Who Are Mediation Dorset?

We provide a high quality Conflict Resolution Service for the people of Dorset.

We are a voluntary charitable group, supported by many of Dorset’s local authorities, housing associations, Dorset Police, support agencies and volunteer bureaux.

We provide mediation:-

• for Neighbours
• in the Workplace
• within Families
• within Schools
• for Victims and Offenders (Restorative Justice)
• for those who are, or are at risk of becoming, Homeless

Additionally, we provide mediation for children and young people with Special Educational Needs through Wessex Mediation Disagreement Resolution Service. You can visit the Wessex Medition website at: www.wessexmediation.co.uk

We also provide training in mediation skills for all ages:-

• Adult Training - for potential mediators, organisations and the general public
• Young Mediators Project - Training for young people in schools and in youth groups

We also provide opportunities for volunteers to assist us with all aspects of governance of the charity and for those who may wish to assist in the (Dorchester based) office in a range of administration tasks.
